Our 2023-2024 preseason started out with a unique outreach accomplishment. We partnered with the Bellevue Alliance to secure a space for a shared field, hosting a grand opening event which multiple city council members attended.
Unfortunately, our build season started out rough. Our workshop lost power for two weeks due to a storm, so we had to start our design process in a classroom. With members scattered and no access to tools for prototyping, we relied heavily on prototyping videos shared by other teams as well as Ri3D designs.
While our robot Oakestra had many breakages over the course of our competition season, we won the Team Sustainability Award at our second competition and qualified for districts. There, with our alliance partners, we were able to make it to the finals and joined the Johnson division at the World Championship. Despite our rough start, we managed to pull through and achieve another amazing season.
