Winter ISOLE

Interlake Saints Online Learning Experience is an online program with two courses taught by Saints Robotics members for third to fifth graders: Introduction to Scratch, and Advanced Scratch and Beginning Engineering Concepts (ASBEC).

  • Introduction to Scratch:
    • Students are taught the foundations of programming using Scratch.
  • Advanced Scratch and Beginning Engineering Concepts (ASBEC):
    • Students learn about creating more advanced projects on Scratch such as games, and also get a feel for engineering by building their own project.

ISOLE meets three times a week, from December 21st to December 31st 2020 on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays. There are two sessions available: 10AM-12PM and 2PM-4PM.

What technology would I need? These four sites must work: Google Classroom, Google Meet, Google Slides, and Scratch.

How much does this cost? The course fee will be $125. 20% of the proceeds are going to Backpack Meals for Kids. This is a local nonprofit aimed at providing food for students who do not have access to it. Financial aid is available.
